Bún Thịt – Grilled Pork Vermicelli (Thao, Tampa)

A popular everyday Vietnamese dish of cold vermicelli noodles and grilled pork, eaten with fresh fragrant herbs like basil and mint.


  • 1 pound ground pork
  • 1 tbsp olive oil for frying


  • 1 tsp oyster sauce
  • 2 tsp fish sauce
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 1 tsp seasoning powder
  • 1 tsp minced garlic powder
  • 1 tsp chopped onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp corn starch


  1. Mix ingredients for the sauce.
  2. Marinate the ground pork in the sauce.
  3. Form into patties.
  4. Grill or fry with 1 tsp olive oil until golden brown.
