A classic American treat. Blondies are another variation on brownies without the cocoa.
This recipe is quick and simple. Fun to enjoy the delicious results!

INGREDIENTS
- 1 ½ cup all purpose flour
- ½ teaspoon baking powder
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 2 large eggs
- 1 cup brown sugar
- ½ cup butter, melted
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
- *Optional: walnuts or pecans
STEPS
- Preheat oven at 350 degrees F.
- Mix sugar, eggs, butter and vanilla until blended.
- Add flour, baking soda, salt.
- Add chocolate chips (and nuts if desired).
- Mix well.
- Spread into a buttered 13 x 9 “ rectangular pan.
- Bake for 18-20 min until a toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.
- Cool and cut into squares.
YIELDS
12-24 bars, depending on size.
