Chocolate Chip Blondies (Mia, New York)

A classic American treat. Blondies are another variation on brownies without the cocoa. 

This recipe is quick and simple. Fun to enjoy the delicious results!


  • 1 ½ cup all purpose flour
  • ½ teaspoon baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • ½ cup butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
  • *Optional: walnuts or pecans


  1. Preheat oven at 350 degrees F.
  2. Mix sugar, eggs, butter and vanilla until blended.
  3. Add flour, baking soda, salt.
  4. Add chocolate chips (and nuts if desired).
  5. Mix well.
  6. Spread into a buttered 13 x 9 “ rectangular pan.
  7. Bake for 18-20 min until a toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.
  8. Cool and cut into squares.


12-24 bars, depending on size.
